Directory Dialing: Standard Feature
This standard feature allows users to dial speed dial numbers from the display screen on their phones. Each Elite system has enough memory for 1000 system wide speed dial numbers or 80 system wide numbers and 20 personal numbers on each phone (depending on the requirements of the user.) By pressing the "soft keys" under the display screen, a user can select the name of the desired party and simply pick up the handset or press the "speaker" key. The system will automatically select an available outside line and connect the call. Speed dial names are stored in alphabetical order within the software of the system. Users can chose to start scrolling at any letter in the alphabet by using the corresponding letters on the dial pad of the phone. Directory Dialing is a standard feature on all Elite systems. Conference Bridge Card. Optional Equipment
The Multiline Conference Bridge provides a feature of the Electra Elite 48 and 192 systems that allows any intercom user or any outside party calling to a port of the CNF(8)-U10 ETU to enter a multiparty conference call. The CNF(8)-U10 ETU supports one 8-party conference or two 4-party conferences controlled by a switch setting. DSP based amplification provides a higher quality conference call. This feature is available for all Electra Elite Multiline Terminals and requires that the CNF(8)-U10 ETU be installed in the Electra Elite KSU. Two CNF(8)-U10 ETUs may be installed in the Electra Elite. Each outside call will use a Telus Central Office line during the conference.

Caller ID with Scrolling: Optional equipment
This Elite feature allows users to review the last 10 numbers that were answered or transferred to his station by using a "scroll key". If a user wants to call a Caller ID number that is on the display of his set he need only to pick up his handset or press the "speaker key". The system automatically selects an outside line and dials that number. This is an optional feature and requires additional hardware.

During any phone conversation simply press the record key on your phone and store the whole conversation in your mailbox for later review. You can forward that message to any other users Mailbox as you see fit.

TAPI: Optional Equipment
The system was designed to embrace new Computer Telephony Integration (CTI) technologies as they emerge. Optional equipment available for the NEC ELECTRA ELITE provides provisions for Telephone Application Programming Interface (TAPI) applications such as "Screen Pops" based on Caller ID. This is when customer profiles "Pop" on to desktop PC screens before calls are even answered.

End User CD Programming
The optional Windows End User Programming CD ROM provides a system administrator access to 35 programmable System and Station fields via one of four built in RS 232 communications ports.

NEC Dterm Extender: Optional Equipment Required
Released in the 4th quarter 1999, the Dterm Extender allows users to have NEC ELITE digital extensions at locations other than the office, either across town or across the country. The ELITE system will deliver Voice Mail Messages and turn on message wait lamps, allow one touch intercom calls, allow users to receive calls, transfer calls, make calls, access speed dial, access overhead paging and more. In fact virtually all features of the ELITE system are available to the remote user.

VOIP: Optional Equipment Required
Traditionally organizations have had two separate communications networks, one for voice traffic and one for data traffic. Today the dividing line between these two transport methods is not so distinct. Today's telephone equipment allows users to transmit voice and data over the same network anywhere in the world. Simply put, voice traffic, is converted to data packets and sent out over private data networks then converted back to voice at the far end. Companies can then utilize their existing data networks to transmit voice and avoid traditional Telco toll charges. Telephone systems in different geographical locations can be tied together via these data circuits and in so doing act as one system. For example you could initiate a handsfree intercom call to a co worker anywhere in the world ask him how the weather is, then transfer a call to him as if he were in the next office. Available since the 4th quarter of 1999. Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) card for the ELITE system allows users to make long distance calls toll free over the Internet and virtual private networks.

ACD: Optional Equipment Required
Automatic Call Distribution software provides users with the ability to route call to CSR personnel on a FIFO (first in first out) basis. Calls are automatically distributed to agents based on which agent has been idle the longest. Agents can "log in" and be available to take calls or "log out" of an ACD group by pressing a button on their phone. Statistical information is tracked and presented via reports to managers and or supervisors on their workstations over the company LAN. Information about the average wait time, average talk time, abandoned calls, number of calls etc. are presented in the reports. If all agents in an ACD group are busy 3 message may be played to callers "We haven't forgotten you…" Messages to callers can indicate the depth of the queue. "You are caller number…"
